Nate Searle is a fantasy/sci-fi writer who has completed three novels and is currently seeking an agent.  His latest novel is a middle-grade fantasy, which was recently named a finalist for the 2024 Claymore Award. Witch’s Best Friend (formerly titled A Game of Stones) is a standalone story with series potential about a dog who must travel across the country to save his best friend—a 12-year-old girl—from witch hunters after she’s caught doing magic. It combines the world-building of Julie Abe’s Eva Evergreen, Semi-Magical Witch with the adventure and character journey of the film Homeward Bound.
