Nate Searle was raised in Western Massachusetts on a steady diet of Star Wars, RPGs, and hockey.

He started taking writing seriously in high school and went on to Ithaca College where he received a degree in television and radio scriptwriting and speech communication, graduating magna cum laude.

After dabbling in screenwriting, teleplay writing, and music articles, Nate decided to devote his time to his true passion: writing fantasy and science fiction. He has completed four novels to date and is seeking an agent.

His 2024 middle grade manuscript Witch’s Best Friend (formerly titled A Game of Stones) was a finalist for the 2024 Claymore Award in the science fiction/fantasy category.

When he’s not writing, Nate can be found reading, exercising, listening to music, playing video games, or spending time with his two small kids.

He currently lives outside Boston with his family and a cantankerous Pomeranian.
